What Is A Toastmaster?

For many the word Toastmaster conjures up an image of a gentleman clad in a long red tail coat, carrying a wooden gavel and having a loud booming voice to gain your attention. Others may have little or no knowledge of who a Toastmaster is or what they do.

In days gone by this first statement was largely true. However, the role of a modern Toastmaster has changed over recent years and although there are still a number of announcements to be made at functions, these are usually the only visible signs that a Toastmaster is present. They are now the consumate professionals and experts in matters of etiquette and procedure.Charity Ball Master of Ceremonies

Whether it be pinning a buttonhole on a bridegroom's lapel or possibly having to assist in reorganising a seating plan at a corporate function, you will find that by having a Toastmaster present they will be able to look after those small 'technical hiccups' that can occasionally occur.

To ensure a flamboyant atmosphere at your event, a professional Toastmaster will bring a combination of tact, diplomacy and care specific to your requirements. They have the skill and sensitivity to adapt to each individual function and offer a formal or very relaxed approach.
